Types of Massage & Wellness Therapies

Swedish Massage
A classic and widely recognized form of massage that uses long, flowing strokes, kneading, and gentle circular movements. Swedish massage is designed to relax the body, ease muscle tension, and improve overall circulation. It is ideal for stress relief, enhancing flexibility, and promoting a general sense of well-being.

Deep Tissue Massage
A focused therapy that works on deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Using slower strokes and firm pressure, deep tissue massage helps release chronic tension, break down adhesions (knots), and restore mobility. It is especially beneficial for individuals with long-term pain, repetitive strain, or old injuries.

Sports Massage
Tailored for athletes and active individuals, sports massage addresses the unique stresses of training and competition. Techniques include stretching, compression, and deep pressure to prevent injuries, reduce recovery time, and improve performance. It can be used before events to prepare muscles or afterward to speed healing.

Trigger Point Therapy
This technique focuses on specific “trigger points” — tight spots within a muscle that may cause pain locally or refer pain elsewhere in the body. By applying direct, controlled pressure, these points are released, discomfort is reduced, and normal muscle function is restored. It is highly effective for headaches, neck tension, and back pain.

Myofascial Release
A gentle, sustained stretching technique that releases restrictions in the fascia — the connective tissue surrounding muscles and organs. By releasing these restrictions, myofascial therapy improves movement, decreases pain, and restores balance throughout the body. It is especially beneficial for chronic pain, posture issues, and limited mobility.

Cupping Therapy
An ancient practice that uses suction cups placed on the skin to create negative pressure. This increases blood flow, loosens tight muscles, and encourages the removal of toxins. Cupping may leave temporary marks on the skin, but these are painless and a sign of improved circulation.

Medical Massage
A goal-oriented approach that focuses on specific conditions, injuries, or recovery needs. Medical massage is often part of a treatment plan to support healing after surgery, injury, or chronic illness. Techniques are customized to address pain, improve function, and enhance the body’s recovery process.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a gentle technique that stimulates the flow of lymph fluid to reduce swelling, release toxins, and support immune health. Often recommended for post-surgical recovery or to ease puffiness and fluid retention, it leaves you feeling lighter, refreshed, and restored.

Prenatal Massage
Our prenatal massage sessions are specially designed to support the comfort and wellness of expecting mothers. Gentle techniques help relieve back pain, reduce swelling, ease tension, and promote relaxation while safely accommodating each stage of pregnancy. Each session is personalized to meet the unique needs of mother and baby, supporting overall health and well-being throughout pregnancy.

Thai Massage
Sometimes called “assisted yoga,” Thai massage combines stretching, compression, and rhythmic pressure to release tension and restore energy flow. Performed on a floor mat with the client fully clothed, it promotes flexibility, improves posture, and supports overall vitality.

Craniosacral Therapy (Biodynamic Approach)
The Biodynamic approach to Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive method that works with the natural rhythms of the body’s nervous system, fluids, and tissues. Rather than using force or manipulation, the practitioner listens to the body’s subtle movements and supports its inherent ability to self-correct and heal. This approach emphasizes stillness, deep relaxation, and creating the conditions for the body to restore balance from within. Clients often experience a profound sense of calm, reduced pain, and improved overall well-being. It can be especially helpful for stress, trauma recovery, headaches, and chronic conditions.

Reiki
A Japanese energy-healing technique that promotes balance and relaxation. The practitioner channels healing energy through the hands, either lightly touching or hovering above the body. Reiki supports emotional, mental, and physical well-being, encouraging the body’s natural healing response.

Acupressure
Acupressure is an ancient healing technique rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that uses gentle pressure on specific points of the body, rather than needles, to restore balance and relieve discomfort. By stimulating these points, acupressure helps release tension, improve energy flow, and support the body’s natural healing process. It is often used to ease headaches, reduce stress, improve digestion, relieve muscle tension, and promote overall wellness. This non-invasive therapy is safe, relaxing, and effective for clients seeking natural relief without needles.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a therapeutic practice that focuses on applying gentle pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, and ears. These points correspond to different organs and systems in the body, helping to promote natural balance, reduce stress, and support overall wellness. Reflexology can enhance relaxation, improve circulation, and encourage your body’s natural healing processes. It’s a gentle, non-invasive therapy suitable for anyone seeking relief from tension or a boost to their overall well-being.

Hydrotherapy
The therapeutic use of water in different forms and temperatures to support healing. Techniques may include warm baths, steam treatments, compresses, or herbal wraps. Hydrotherapy reduces muscle soreness, improves circulation, boosts the immune system, and promotes relaxation.

Aromatherapy
The use of essential oils to enhance therapeutic treatments. When inhaled or absorbed through the skin during massage, these natural plant extracts can reduce stress, uplift mood, ease muscle pain, and support emotional balance. Each oil is carefully chosen to meet the client’s needs.
